“I’d finally come to understand what it had been: a yearning for a way out, when actually what I had wanted to find was a way in.” C. Strayed

I am a licensed mental health therapist and I have an office location in the Madison Park neighborhood of Seattle.

Therapy is a way to gain clarity and self-understanding. Healing happens as we cultivate acceptance and compassion for ourselves and our human tendencies. It is an ongoing process of engaging with our experiences from a place of curiosity and gentleness. Aspects of my therapy include deep listening to understand your reality; building your capacity to be present with your physical, emotional and mental states and helping you define your values and needs. My style is intuitive, caring, and therapeutically integrative. I believe we learn patterns of behavior unconsciously throughout our life, and continue them until they no longer serve us. Our symptoms are most often adaptations to what we have experienced; they help us to survive and protect us from our internal pain but over time these patterns can create more suffering and perpetuate cycles of stress and shame that serve to keep the symptoms alive. Together we can work to better understand and resolve challenges in your life.
